Bistro Pierre - Preston - Lancashire

Restoring and upgrading facade of a Grade 2 listed Baptiste Church. Principal Stonemasons on this 'Church' to 'Restaurant' conversion project.
This building is the first listed structure a visitor to the City sees as they walk from the railway station heading up Church Street.
We constructed a raised Gallery seating area from stone salvaged from another Church demolished some months previously. The stone was an almost perfect match and satisfied the Local Conservation officer, Architect and Owners expectations. The relocation of the main entrance was complimented by stone salvaged on site and locally sourced broad reclaimed steps.
The project required a great deal of adaption, manufacture and onsite repair which again was 'in house'.
All bed and 'perp' joints of coursed stonework was cleared of loose material and the open joints washed and pumped with gun applied lime mortar.
The project was completed on time and on budget, ready for the Restaurants opening.
